Former Black Stars Assistant Coach Maxwell Konadu has expressed grief at the loss of two Ghanaian football legends, Opoku Afriyie and Kwasi Owusu.

Afriyie, a member of Ghana’s AFCON winning squad in 1978 passed in Kumasi on Sunday at the age of 75 while Kwasi Owusu who until 2013 was Ghana’s all time top scorer kicked the bucket a day later in Sunyani at age 72.

The death of the two who had stellar careers at national and club levels has caused grief across the Ghanaian football landscape.

Tributes have been pouring in for the former Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak striker Opoku Afriyie also known as ‘Bayie’ and Bofoakwa Tano great Kwasi ‘PowerHouse’ Owusu.

Maxwell Konadu is latest to offer his tributes to the two.

The Kotoko Coach took to Twitter to mourn and pray for the souls and families of the departed legends.
