Medeama Sporting Club youngsters excel at 2024 Surf Cup in Morocco

Medeama Sporting Club, a Ghanaian football club, has made history with the outstanding performances of its young players at the prestigious 2024 Surf Cup held in Morocco.

The tournament, which took place at the Grand Stade de Tangier City Sports Complex, ran from August 1 to August 4, 2024.

The young talents of Medeama SC made an indelible mark on the international stage in Tangier, Morocco.

One of the standout performers was rising star Kelvin Nkrumah, who showcased his prowess by scoring three goals and providing a crucial assist, with two of his goals coming in the finals.

Additionally, winger David Boison demonstrated his skill with two vital assists, while midfielder Richard Dwumah contributed two assists as well.

Striker Stephen Borboryo also left his mark on the tournament by scoring a goal and registering an assist.

The exceptional performance of Medeama SC's youngsters not only captured attention but also signified a promising future for the club.

The Mauve & Yellows players competed in the boys' categories of U13, U15, and U17, showcasing their talent and potential on an international platform.

Meanwhile, established as a Ghana Division Three League club in 2008, Medeama Sporting Club underwent a transformative journey.

After failing to qualify for the Ghana Premier League in 2010, the club acquired the defunct Kessben FC and completed its licensing, leading to its renaming as Medeama Sporting Club in January 2011.

The club, owned by Ghanaian business guru Moses “Parker” Armah, is based at Akoon Park in Tarkwa, Ghana.

The park has a seating capacity of 10,000.

The Surf Cup International is renowned for bringing together some of the world's best youth academies, providing a platform for young talents to develop and showcase their skills.

The tournament is part of a series of international soccer events held at stunning locations across the globe, aiming to nurture and promote talent from diverse backgrounds.
