Medeama boast of the best playing surface in the Ghanaian top-flight, allowing visiting teams equal opportunity to grind out results, the club's Chief Executive James Essilfie has insisted.

The Tarkwa and Aboso Park has become a safe haven for visiting teams who have made life hell for the Mauve and Yellows.

The two-time Ghanaian FA Cup holders have struggled for wins against Inter Allies and Wa All Stars and produced a scintillating comeback against WAFA in their 3-2 win last Wednesday.

And Medeama top chief James Essilfie reckons the quality of the pitch has made it practically difficult for the home side to win, given each team an equal playing field.

"We have the best pitch in the Premier League at the moment and it has shown by the performance of the visiting teams," he said.

"Look at the T&A park and you will realise that it's in the best of shapes.

"It's the major reason why visiting teams play so well here in Tarkwa and make life difficult for us.

Medeama host cash-strapped New Edubiase on the final day of the first round on Sunday.
