Captain for Sekondi Hasaacas, Daniel Egyin has fired a warning shot to their regional rivals Medeama Sporting Club ahead of their derby day clash in the First Capital Plus Premier League on Sunday.

As part of the Allsports.com.gh build-up to one of the pulsating derby games in the match day 14 fixtures, we spoke to the star player of the Giants of the West about their readiness for the match.

"My boys and I are preparing well. We are training hard and we are listening to our coaches so as for us we are ready and prepared," Egyin told us.

A regional derby at the Sekondi stadium, home of Hasaacas was first played last season when the 'Doo the Doo' boys returned to the Ghana Pemier League. The tension is a burden of expectation on the teams and the verve of the supporting fans and the media euphoria.

Medeama, 6th on the log with 19 points will make about 90 minutes journey from their base in Tarkwa to face Hasaacas, who have 17 points and are 12th on the table.

Egyin, amazingly shrugs off any threat their opponent could pose reckoning the match as the easiest to win.

"For us, this match is not tough for us. This is the easiest match for us Sekondi Hasaacas and we are going to beat them," the Hasaacas captain said confidently.

"I know they are above us in the league but player for player, boot for boot, I don't see them as better side than us," Egyin has declared. Medeama's line up would be spearheaded in attack by their in-form striker, Nathaniel Asamoah who leads the goal king chart with nine goals.

But a fearless Daniel Egyin says Asamoah will be kept at bay especially as he will personally be the Hasaacas player to be tasked with keeping watch over the Medeama striker in the Hasaacas central defence.

"I know him very well and this is not my first time I'm going to play against him. I've played against him before when I was at Liberty professionals and at Real Sportive he was my senior teammate there so I know him and how he plays," Egyin explained.

"I know him very well so that one is a very easy work for us. He is not going score," he assured.
