Medeama midfielder Kwasi Donsu has lifted the lid on why he chose Medeama over Asante Kotoko seven years ago.
Former coach Didi Dramani thought he had won the race for the talented 24-year-old's signature in 2013, only for him to join the Tarkwa-based side.
The former Berekum Arsenals midfielder was being pressured from both sides over the deal.
But the dead ball specialist has revealed Dr Kofi Kodua Sarpong's resignation at Kotoko seven years ago scuppered the deal.
“Had Dr K.K. Sarpong not left Asante Kotoko I would not have joined Medeama SC. Talks were advanced for me to join the Oseikrom club.” Donsu told Kumasi-baseed Opemsuo Radio.
The former Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC loanee has since gone on to become one of the established players on the domestic front.
