Ghana Premier League side Medeama have told Asante Kotoko to wait after the coronavirus pandemic to talk about any potential deal over midfield sensation Justice Blay.

The Porcupine Warriors wrote to the two-time FA Cup winners last monthrequesting for talks to open negotiation regarding a permanent deal.

Blay's loan deal with the Ghanaian giants will expire in June amid an anxiety to tie him down permanently.

But the communication chief of the Mauve and Yellows Patrick Akoto has told GHANAsoccernet.com the club will decide the next line of action after the coronavirus crisis is over.

"We received a letter from Kotoko to that effect on March 30 and we have duly and respectfully acknowledged receipt," Akoto told GHANAsoccernet.com

"However, we have not decided anything due to the coronavirus outbreak. We are not even sure when the crisis will be over.

"We are in a survival era and so the last thing on anybody's mind is contract talks with any club.

"If the world doesn't come to an end, we'll surely talk about the future of our prize asset.

"We respect Kotoko and other interested clubs a lot but we have to scale this hurdle. Lets continue to observe the protocols and stay safe."

With multiple offers on the table for the highly-rated midfielder, it remains to be seen if the Medeama will sell their prize asset to the record Ghana Premier league holders.

Kotoko will need to break bank to sign the midfielder after his value skyrocketed following an impressive run of form since joining.
