Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo leads Retired Women Footballers

Mrs Mercy Tagoe Quarcoo, retired Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) referee and former national footballer, has been elected as the President of the newly formed Retired Women National Footballers Association of Ghana (RWONFAG).

The Association is aimed at at mobilizing retired female footballers in the country, provide support to their members and as well as seek the interest of current footballers.

A statement from the Association said they will also serve as an inspiration for active female footballers and upcoming females who want to take football as a career in the country.

Mrs Tagoe-Quarcoo, will be assisted by Madam Vivian Nelson as the Vice President, to run the 40-member Association, with Ms. Dzormo Adzekwei as the General Secretary, whilst Miss. Anita Wiredu-Minta takes up the position of Deputy General Secretary.

Miss. Dora Zutah will take up the position of Public Relations Officer with Ms. Gifty Lartey assisting her.

The rest are; Miss. Grace Lamptey – Organizer, Miss. Diana Mills – Treasurer, Miss. Geneveive Clottey – Coordinator, Miss. Adowa Bayor - Assistant Coordinator and Miss. Helena Wilson - Executive member.
