Mfantsipim emerge champions of Zone Three

Cape Coast, Feb. 25, GNA - Mfantsipim Senior High School bagged 187 points to win the Zone 3 Inter Schools and Colleges Athletic competition held at Schools and Colleges Park at Adisadel, Cape Coast on Wednesday. Jukwa Senior High School placed second with 127 points followed by St. Augustine's at the third position with 98 points, Mankessim Senior High School were fourth with 66 points while Asuansi Technical Institute came fifth with 40 and half points.

In the Girls division, Wesley Girls High School came first with 161 points followed by Jukwa SHS at the second position with 147 points while Holy Child SHS came third with 138 points.

Oguaa Secondary Technical placed fourth with 38 and half points with Saltpond Methodist High School at the fifth position with 30 points while Mankessim Secondary Technical came sixth with 21 points. Emmanuel Otoo of Jukwa SHS was declared the best athlete in the Boys division after he came first in the 100 and 200 metre races. In the Girls division, Millicent Abaka of Holy Child SHS was declared the best athlete. She won the 100metres, 400 metres and led her school's quartet to win the 4x400 metres relay. 25 Feb. 10
