Michael Jordan is a six time NBA champion
The debate over basketball’s greatest player has dominated locker rooms, talk shows, and social media for decades, LeBron, Kobe, KD, and of course, Michael Jordan himself.
Every generation has its icon, every fan has an argument, and every stat sheet seems to fuel the fire.
During an interview with Skysports, Jordan stepped into the conversation, cutting through the noise with his trademark clarity.
Jordan made it clear that comparisons across eras are nearly impossible.

“I think LeBron has had an unbelievable career, and I admire him for what he’s done. And Kobe, as well as KD and all these guys who have played in this era, they’ve elevated the game of basketball tremendously. I just don’t agree when you start trying to put one above the other. It doesn’t work. We’ll never know. It creates more of a problem than for me, he said."
He also reminded fans not to overlook the legends who paved the way.
“We should always honor that, we should always preserve that, we should always reward that they paved the road for a lot of generations after that. And by doing that, you’re someone from the Jabbar, I mean, Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell had 11 championships. How do you just push them in a corner and say, ‘Oh, we ain’t going to think about you?’” he quizzed.
Even as Jordan refuses to play the comparison game, his own legacy is undeniable: six NBA championships, five MVP awards, 14 All-Star appearances, and a global impact that changed basketball forever.
For countless fans and analysts, Michael Jordan remains the ultimate standard, the player against whom all others are measured.
