Michel Okoe Lomo is dead

The death of Michel Okoe Lomo popularly known as Joe Michel or Lomo Michel. He played Hearts of Oak then Akotex then Black Stars. He was in Montreal Olympic Games with the Black Stars. He even played left full back when Pele's Santos played Hearts in their epic 2-2 draw in Accra, Ghana.

Joe Michel trained as a coach for Akotex in Tirol Austria and worked for Akosombo Textile Limited for almost 40 years until his death 3rd February 2007.

He played side by side with some of the great players like Osei Kofi.Kwasi Owusu, Polo Ahmed, Abdul Razak,Robert Hammond,Yaw Mark, Tettey Mensah etc

His mentors are Walter Esposito,Ransford Lomo,Joseph Lomo,Leticia Aidoo,Dr Felicia Addison,Dr Edward Addison,Frank Borlabi and his parents of Walter Lomo and Dora Bortey.

Burial is being planned by Agbei Gbeke We of La, Accra.
