Millenium Marathon: 3 win prizes as 9th draw is held

Bukari Mortka, Desmond Selasie Festus and Banny Ojoro were the proud winners of the 9th Big Millennium Marathon Raffle Draw held at the Accra Polo grounds on Saturday.

The draw which was conducted by the National Lottery Authority saw the winners rewarded with prizes from sponsors Brandsmania Limited.

Ambassador Ashim Morton revealed that for the first time in the history of the country, Members of Parliament will partake in the race which will start from the Tang Palace Hotel.

He encouraged everyone to make use of the extension of the registration date and join the biggest marathon in the country.

Runners are expected from Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania, USA, UK, Japan, China, India, Canada, France, Germany, Switzerland, Nigeria, Cote d’Ivoire, Togo, Burkina Faso, Benin, Congo, South Africa, Colombia and Mexico.

A mouthwatering cash prize of $2,500 is at stake for the winner, while the winner of the raffle drives home a brand new Nissan Kicks SUV.
