...$500,000 as reward for World Cup Qualification
Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac will be rewarded with a huge qualification bonus for guiding the Black Stars to the 2010 World Cup, if a report on KickOff.com is to be believed.
The Serbian signed up as Ghana coach about a year ago and received no signing on fee from the Ghanaian Football Association when he agreed the two-year deal to coach the African powerhouse
However, Rajevac insisted on including a bonus package in his contract that was heavily dependent on World Cup qualification instead. He agreed a deal with the Ghana Football Association that guarantees Rajevac almost $500,000 as reward for taking the Black Stars to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
GFA president Kwesi Nyantekyie confirmed the football association will live up to its part of the deal and pay the Serbian his just rewards.
“Every worker should be given a target to achieve and Rajevac deserves to be rewarded for his efforts. We negotiated to pay qualification bonus to the coach in case Ghana reached the World Cup and we will fulfil that. I cannot disclose the quantum of the bonus now but we definitely have that commitment to him,” Nyantekyie said.
