Mine Stars show appreciation

Tarkwa, (W/R) Feb 5, GNA - Prestea Mines Stars football club have commended Bogoso Gold Limited (BGL) for supporting the club with 262 million cedis during 2004/2005 Premier League season. The Management of the club has therefore expressed its appreciation to BGL for their timely support that had ensured the success of the team during the period.

Mr Anthony Ackerson, Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Club in a statement issued at Tarkwa said, "We take this opportunity to thank the Chief Executive Officer of Golden Star Resources Limited (GSRL) for making the sponsorship possible".

BGL is a subsidiary of GSRL. The release thanked BGL for the help it has offered Mine Stars to date.

The Club wished BGL a sound footing in its endeavours to enable it commit more bigger financial support to the Club in the years ahead.
