MLS side Minnesota United have rubbished claims in the Ghanaian media that they are in “advanced talks” with Accra Hearts of Oak playmaker Thomas Abbey.
The TFC Stadium outfit admitted that they are scouting in Africa though they insists they are not in negotiations with the Black Stars B player.
“Minnesota United FC have not had contract negotiations with Ghanaian attacking midfielder Thomas Abbey, but the Loons have been scouting Africa” St. Paul Pioneer Press’ Andy Greder tweeted on Friday after being told by a management member of the club.
Abbey 23, was one of the best players in the Ghana Premier League netting 14 goals and also helping to his club to finish third on the league log.
He was also part of the Ghana Black Stars B team which won the 2017 WAFU Tournament.
