Mohamed Salah plays for Liverpool
Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah declined to comment following Liverpool’s 2-0 Premier League victory over Brighton and Hove Albion on December 13, 2025.
Salah had previously stated he felt “thrown under a bus” and claimed to have no relationship with manager Arne Slot after being left on the bench for Liverpool’s 3-3 draw against Leeds on Saturday, December 6, 2025.
This marked the third consecutive match in which Salah was excluded from the starting lineup amid a dip in his form this season.
277 and out? Liverpool's Salah turns record breaker again
He was also omitted from the squad that defeated Inter Milan 1-0 in the UEFA Champions League, with Slot explaining the decision as part of measures to manage the situation.
Salah returned to the squad against Brighton, starting on the bench before being brought on during the game.
He made an immediate impact, providing an assist for Hugo Ekitike’s second goal from a corner kick.
After the match, as he headed to the dressing room, journalists asked Salah for a comment.
He declined, saying, “Two times in a row? No way, impossible.”
Meanwhile, Slot stated in the post-match press conference that there was no outstanding issue with Salah and wished him the best as he prepares to join Egypt for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
