Ghanaian attacking sensation Mohammed Kudus has expressed delight at his inclusion in Ghana's senior squad for the upcoming AFCON Qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe.
The FC Nordjiland attacker is one of eight new players named in Kwesi Appiah's 23-man black stars squad for the double header next month.
And speaking to Danish local news paper following the news of his call up, Kudus disclosed that he is looking forward to represent his country again.
"I'm very happy to hear this. I'm looking very much forward to represent my county again", said the 20-year old.
On how he heard of the news about his maiden senior call up, Kudus said, "my coach Flemming Pedersen told me today after training, and I just thought "wow". It's good news but I also believe it's just the beginning and now I need to work even harder".
"I knew the national coach had been here in FCN to visit and that there was a chance this could happen.
"This is one of one of the biggest things that can happen, and it has come early. It's a good step for me but it's just the beginning", the young attacker added.
Mohammed Kudus' coach at FC Nordjiland also described the invitation of the club's priced asset to Ghana's senior National team as good news for the club.
"this is very good news for the club as well", Coach Flemming Pedersen said.
He added that, " we can also develop players for the national team in Ghana. It's a huge achievement for us and especially for Kudus. It means a lot".
Kudus was a member of Ghana's squad that played at the FIFA U17 world cup in India in 2017.
He also played for Ghana's Under 20 team in the 2018 African Youth championship in Niger.
