Ghanaian international Mohammed Kudus has emerged as a top target for Newcastle United, who are considering selling Anthony Gordon to Liverpool.
According to iNews, Newcastle United may pursue West Ham United's Jarrod Bowen or Kudus if Gordon moves on.
Kudus joined West Ham from Ajax last summer and had an immediate impact in the Premier League during his first season.
The 24-year-old performed exceptionally for the Hammers, scoring 14 goals and providing six assists across all competitions.
Newcastle fans saw Kudus's skill firsthand during an exciting 4-3 match against West Ham in March. Kudus scored and assisted in that game, earning praise from West Ham manager David Moyes, who described him as "excellent."
Kudus left a lasting impression at St James' Park, although the match was also remembered for his altercation with a ball boy and Newcastle's impressive comeback.
If Gordon departs, Newcastle could have another opportunity to acquire Kudus, but it will be costly. West Ham will look to make a profit after acquiring him for £38 million in 2023, and his £85 million release clause won't be active again until next summer.
