Accra Hearts of Oak legend Ablade Morgan has shared his fondest moment during his time at Hearts of Oak, recounting a moment he was overwhelmed with gifts after providing a match-winning assist in a game.

Morgan narrated that the match was against Great Olympics and was tied at one all in the dying embers. He said the fans had lost hope, and the stadium went dead as they began to exit with a few minutes to full time.

He said he provided the assist to the match-winner after flicking a corner for his teammate to tap in, and the stadium came back to life.

"All of them were exiting the stadium during stoppage time because it was 1-1. So there was a cross, and I was standing right in front of the goalkeeper, and I flicked it, and the goalkeeper grabbed my head. We scored from the play and won the match. That's when I realized Hearts of Oak is an amazing club. The things I got," he narrated on Television CK on YouTube.

Recounting the many gifts he received, he mentioned money, chewing gum, and cassettes.

"A man gifted me about 500 cedis. Back then, it was huge money. He (the man) said he'd be able to go to work because of me. I could board a VIP bus and collect money from everyone. I went to the VIP station, and everyone wanted me on their bus. They gifted me chewing gum, cassettes, and other things."

Ablade Morgan spent time with Hearts of Oak, where he won the 2004 CAF Confederations Cup. He also played for Liberty Professionals.

At the national team level, Ablade Morgan made some appearances for the Black Stars, especially in the 2006 World Cup qualifiers.
