More People Traveling To Kumasi

Sat, 7 Dec 2002 Source: Joy Online

There has been a sharp increase in the number of people traveling from Accra to Kumasi over the past two days. The increase has been attributed to tomorrow’s epic match between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Wydad Casablanca of Morocco. The match will decide the winner of this year’s African Cup Winner’s Cup. As a result of the increased passenger traffic to Kumasi, traveling to the Garden city has become a frustrating experience for many people – even those who are not going to watch the match have been affected. The Chairman of the Neoplan station branch of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union, Kwabena Badu, told Joy News that the situation will improve by tomorrow morning.
