More plans awaits the sports media - Coca Cola

Accra, Sept. 18, GNA - Mrs Linda Larbi, Senior Operations Marketing Manager of Coca Cola Equitorial, Ghana, has said the company has put in place more plans to reward media personal contributing to the development of sports in the country.

She said the company is keeping a close monitoring of the work of the sports media in Ghana and will give distinguished ones the due recognition as plans of the company as the 2010 World Cup unfolds. Mrs Larbi said this when she presented a special award to Mr Dan Kweku Yeboah of Peace FM, an Accra based radio station for winning the media promotion award in Accra on Thursday.

She explained that the award was based on regular monitoring of sports journalists who provide educative, participatory and informed stories with a link to their products.

She also called on Ghanaians to take keen interest in the impending trophy tour of the World Cup.

"It is a unique opportunity for all Africans to see and have a feel of the World Cup since the trophy serves as an important tool for education". She stated.

Mr Kweku Yeboah expressed appreciation to the company for recognizing his works and giving him the due recognition. For his prize, Mr Kweku Yeboah will be given a full sponsorship to participate in the launch of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in Zurich, Switzerland. 18 Sept. 09
