Mubarak Wakaso pays surprise visit to sick Ghanaian in Granada hospital

It was an emotional scene at the Granada hospital when Ghana star Mubarak Wakaso paid a surprise visit to a Ghanaian who has been hospitalised for close to three years.

The Granada midfielder nosed of the plight of the Ghanaian whose sickness was not disclosed and decided to give him a healthy boost by surprising him with the visit.

The man, believed to be in his early 40s was very emotional following the visit of Mubarak Wakaso who substantially handled the medical bills without disclosing the amount.

Wakaso, who is known to have been offering similar social support to the needy in his home country Ghana declined commenting on the support he offered his countryman but only said 'I am happy that I have been able to visit him.'

Wakaso joined Granada on transfer deadline date whilst on national duty with the Black Stars at the 2017 Afcon in Gabon.

The hardworking midfielder who swiftly walked into the Granada side has been an integral member of the La Liga side.

Wakaso was suspended in Granada's last league game with Sporting Gijon after suffering a red card in their clash with Athletico Madrid but is expected to star against giants Barcelona on Sunday.
