Mubarak Wakaso receives thunderous ovation on injury return for Deportivo Alavés

Deportivo Alaves midfielder Mubarak Wakaso received a thunderous ovation after making an injury return in the side's 1-1 draw at home to Sevilla on Sunday.

The 28-year-old returned to the side, three weeks after he collided with a teammate during a La Liga match.

The Ghana international took his place in the starting line-up but was replaced by Serbian Darko Brašanac at the Estadio de Mendizorroza.

The African star received thunderous applause from the supporters to underline their strong love and affection for the midfielder.

Wakaso has been a key cog of the Alaves side since he joined this summer on a three-year deal.
