After scoring two goals in Portsmouth's 3-1 win away to Aston Villa, Sulley Muntari hopes to fulfil his ambitions of helping Pompey break into the top four this term and outscoring Chelsea's fellow Ghanaian midfielder Michael Essien, who has two goals.

"Maybe I will end up with more goals than Essien now," he said.

"I would also love us to break into the top four and if we keep playing this way, I see no reason why we can't do it."

The Ghanaian international midfielder, signed from Udinese in the summer for £7million, scored two brilliant goals on Saturday.

First he doubled his club's advantage before the break when he curled a brilliant left-footed strike from 25 yards into the top corner. He notched another long-distance strike in the 61st minute to take his tally for the season to four.
