Muntari 02.12

Few would have doubted the comeback of his career after facing so many challenges. After very good spells with Udinese and Portsmouth, Sulley’s career seemed to fizzle out during his days at the Nerrazuri. The versatile midfielder has turned his career around to the shock of many.

His influential role on the left side of mid-field helped shape Allegri’s side last season although the Scudeto fell out of the Rosonneri to the old ladies of Serie A.

There were times when he couldn’t get his regular starting position in the national team, but out of patience and continuous hard work, Muntari is now set to lead the Black Stars in the upcoming friendly games.

He is a true inspiration and a classic example of zealousness and determination. I hope that the young players learn from him that at every stage in your career, you need to work hard.

Sulley, an accredited and well-deserved senior player in the team, has done well and shown consistency. He has never denied the request to play for the black stars both in the highs and lows of this career. A true footballer! A true Ghanaian!! And indeed a well deserved captain. Thank you Sulley, Ghana appreciates you!!!
