Midfield ace Sulley Muntari has backed the current batch of exciting Black Stars youngsters to end the country’s trophy drought.

Ghana have not won a title at senior level since 1982 when they lifted a fourth Africa Cup of Nations title in Libya.

“We have great young players who are amazing, Dede, Jordan, Agyemang, Atsu, Wakasu and Rabiu. When you put them together and you get the experience players with them, you will form a strong team,” Muntari told Accra-based Starr FM.

“You can get a bad little kid or a strong headed kid in, but you will know how to treat him. When you know he is stubborn, you will know how to handle him.

“You have to get time for those things. If you don’t have time for those things and think about yourself, definitely things are not going to go well. You will keep on repeating same thing every day.

“In every tournament, you will play five matches and then you are out for the sixth game. You will then keep saying spiritual this or that. Put the things together and hold them tight and they win trophies for you every day,” he added.

He is available on a free transfer and has been linked with Saudi side Al Ittihad.
