Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari joined forces with his wife to open a multi-purpose computer laboratory and a library facility at her deprived home town on Thursday.

A well-attended grand-durbar of the Chief and People of Agona Asafo in the country’s Central coast was organized to open the facility at the Menaye International School.

It cost thousands of Ghana Cedis to construct the building with its apparatus with one of the country’s funniest comedian Funny Face in full-flight.

The computer Laboratory has well over 20 flat screen computers with modern Teacher Learning Materials stocked in the library to help the people in the deprived community.

“It is something that we have always thought to do and I’m happy these kids will get the opportunity to use these modern facilities to enhance their education,” Muntari told GHANAsoccernet.com

“We hope to bring hope to these young students and hopefully the facility will be put to good use.

“The Menaye foundation has done a lot help people in other communities of the country and but this is a special one because it located in the hometown of my wife.

“There are other plans in the pipeline to help our people and we’ll thrive to do our best in that regard.”

The 27-year-old has flown to Kumasi where he is expected to play in the hugely-awaited Sammy Kuffuor testimonial match at the Baba Yara Stadium on Friday.
