Accra, Dec. 16, GNA - The President of Ghana Rugby Association, (GRA) Ms Gifty Annan Myers has been elected to the Executive Board of the Confederation of African Rugby (CAR) for the next four-years. The GRA boss was elected at the 9th CAR General Assembly held over the weekend in Accra and will steer the affairs of women's rugby on the continent.
Accra, Dec. 16, GNA - The President of Ghana Rugby Association, (GRA) Ms Gifty Annan Myers has been elected to the Executive Board of the Confederation of African Rugby (CAR) for the next four-years. The GRA boss was elected at the 9th CAR General Assembly held over the weekend in Accra and will steer the affairs of women's rugby on the continent.
The General Assembly also saw the election of Moroccan Abdelaziz Bougja as President, Davuid Gilbert of Botswana as Vice President, Zahoui Marcellin of Cote d'Ivoire as Treasurer and South Africa Melvin Green as Secretary. Tunisian Kalade Babbou, Richard Omvella of Kenya, William Blick of Kenya and Guedil N'diaye of Senegal were also elected Executive members. Ms Myers said that she has plans to help aid the promotion of women's rugby on the continent.
