Mr. Lawrence Ofosu-Adjare, aspirant for the National Chapters Committee (NCC) chairmanship position of Accra of Oak Sporting Club, has said, he will establish a “National Chapters Trust”, when given the nod in the upcoming NCC elections.

The election is fixed for Saturday, June 22 at the Civil Services Auditorium in Accra.

The NCC is the supporters wing of Accra Hearts of Oak.

Speaking to the GNA Sports, he said, the National Chapters Trust would be the legally registered business outfit to drive and sustain the commercial activities for the Chapters body, that would generate constant flow of income needed to support the club's projects.

He said "every Chapter member shall be registered under the TRUST who would be required to pay monthly dues and other levies as may be agreed and the TRUST would be managed by Trustees, who would be made up of professionals carefully appointed and independent. This is for accountability and transparency.

The experienced Health Administrator added that, the idea was to capitalise and re-capitalise the club, with funds much needed to meet the infrastructure and high recurring expenditures associated with running Accra Hearts of Oak saying "we can support Hearts with the Pobiman Project or can even buy a bus for the Club through fundraising and donations."

Mr. Ofosu-Adjare, highly tipped to win the chairmanship position said he would construct an office for operations and bridged the gap between management and supporters with constant information flow.

He said, he would work with the Management Board to execute projects for the supporters, strengthen the support base of the club and also liaise with sponsors to foster better relationship.

Mr. Ofosu-Adjare, currently the 1st Vice Chairman of NCC, is targeting 100 out of the 170 Chapters, with each Chapter reserving a possible GHC150.00 minimum requirement of 100 shares to take up 30% equity in the club.
