Accra, Dec 21, GNA - The National Sports Council (NSC) will as part of its activities to round off its end of year activities, has decided to honour 20 of its past administrators and workers who blazed the trail to make the Council play its function effectively.
Mr Hamid Issaka, Public Relations Officer of NSC in a Press Release copied to the GNA Sports said the failure of the Council to honour its past workers was an unfortunate omission and which has been a dent on the management's achievement for sometime now hence the decision. The release said by conferring such honours on the workers, its historical recognition will serve as a source of motivation and encouragement for the present crop of workers to give off their best in their various fields.
Among the workers to be honoured are Mr Joseph Kwarteng, J.Z.X.X.X.K. Ackom, Enoch Jerry-Kanfra, Ashaley Okine, Joseph Anikpi, Goerge Boroh Dasoberi, J. Nelson Ofori, Tei Botchway, Kofi Aryeetey, Joseph Lartey, Okai Addow, Steven Komla Hlodze, Rebecca Atakora, Paul Avorgah, Kwaku Ampim-Darko, Ebenezer Ayiw Atta Paintsil. The rest are WO I, Akonnor Ebenezer, Brigadier George Brock, Dr Honorius Akpere and Major John Addae while Sammy Ashie and A.K Abotsi will be honoured posthumously.
