NSC to organise rugby course for media personnel

Accra, Sept 5, GNA - The National Sports Council (NSC) will organise a two-day workshop for media personnel on rugby reporting. Dr Emmanuel Owusu-Ansah, Acting Chief Executive of the NSC said at a press conference that rugby is fast developing in the country and there is the need for the media to be abreast with the rules governing it.

He said the council, as part of its effort to help the media in promoting the sport, took the decision to ensure accurate reportage. Dr Owusu-Ansah said the training programme will be made up of both theory and practicals.

Sequel to this, a formal invitation is to be sent to the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) and the Association of Sports Broadcasters of Ghana (ASBOG).
