Gifty Naa Darkuah Dodoo has retained her position as the Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Boxing Authority [GBA].
The radio broadcast Journalist [Naa Darkuah Dodoo] whose first term in office dates back as far as March 2013 received an unprecedented vote of confidence from the Executive Board of the Ghana Boxing Authority on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 and thus confirmed the head of communications of the GBA.
Speaking to www.sports24ghana.com on her reappointment, Naa Darkuah said she is grateful to the executives who have reposed their confidence in her.
“I am very grateful to the executives for their decision to unanimously maintain me as the PRO. What this tells me is that I did a very good job in my first term of office that is why the executives decided to retain me.”
As a daughter of a former boxer [Nii Amu Dodoo], Naa Darkuah is very passionate about giving her quota in the promotion of the less developed sports disciplines in Ghana.
“I always have the passion to promote the lesser known sports, especially the ones that I think the media don’t give much attention to. For instance, I devoted my time to amputees sport and later became their team manager,” Naa told www.sports24ghana.com
According to Naa Darkuah, combining radio with her job as the Public Relations Officer of the GBA is not too difficult because the two are intertwined, but she however reckons that it is quite challenging though because it is not financially motivated.
Naa Darkuah’s second term of office will culminate with the Peter Zwennes led administration in the year 2021.
