A member of the Normalization Committee (NC) Naa Odofoley has openly shown her respect and admiration towards staff of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
Speaking on Happy FM’s Anopa Bosuo Sports she expressed her gratitude to the staff at the GFA secretariat who showed them love and supported them in executing their mandate as the NC.
She told host, Ohene Brenya-Bampoe that, “When we came, we quickly identified everybody’s strength and we tapped into it. Because let’s face it, we were not ‘football people’. But we came to meet a secretariat with very experienced people and so we had to rely on them to assist us. And just given the opportunity, they were happy to help and that’s when we realised that wow, these guys are fantastic.”
According to her, staff of the GFA are not given enough credit for the work they do. “These are professionals in their space”, she added.
She identified that most of them [staff] were either under-utilized or being sidelined when they [NC] took over form the GFA.
The Normalization Committee took over the administration of the Ghana Football Association after the GFA’s dissolution by the world football governing body, FIFA following the Anas number 12 exposé.
