Youngster Divine Naah has eyed a place in the Black Stars on the back of an explosive 2014/15 season on loan to Dutch side NAC Breda.
The Manchester City midfielder capped off his impressive loan spell with a special goal as he beat five players and finished coolly in a relegation playoff game against VVV-Venlo.
The youngster spoke to the official Manchester City website and was hopeful of making a major impact on the Black Stars should he be called up.
“I want to make an impact with the Black Stars soon – hopefully playing well in the Eredivisie which is a widely televised European league has helped to get me noticed and I will soon be called up to show what I can do,” Naah said.
“I play as a central attacking midfield, I look up to players like Fabregas, Silva or Nasri – I’m a playmaker.”
The midfielder, who kicked off his career with Right to Dream Academy in Ghana, spent a short time at Stromgodset in Norway shortly after joining Manchester City.
“When I grew up it was players like Iniesta and Ronaldinho who I modelled myself on – someone who keeps the game going,” Divine Naah revealed.
Naah was called up to the Black Satellites team for the Fifa Under-20 World Cup in New Zealand but was axed from the final list to the surprise of many.
