Ex-Ghana youth international striker Nafiu Iddrisu has sealed a bumper move to DR Congo club top-flight side SM Sanga Balende in a deal worth $170,000, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The 29-year-old signed a two-year contract this week with the ambitious club who are seeking to upstage giants and African champions TP Mazembe in the DR Congo top-flight league.
In the audacious move, Sanga Balende stormed the Ghanaian market by signing the former Kumasi Asante Kotoko striker to boost their attacking options as they seek to compete with TP Mazembe for talents.
He moves from Ghanaian second tier side Amidaus Professionals.
Iddrisu sealed the deal this week to become their second Ghanaian players as former Hearts of Oak attacker Stanley Afedzie is a key part of their team.
Afedzie's performances and discipline convinced leaders of Sanga Balende to swoop to sign the former Ghana international U23 striker.
Iddrisu, who previously played for Ivorian side Asec Mimosas, was part of Ghana's U23 side the Black Meteors playing along with striker Asamoah Gyan and Prince Tagoe.
