Nana Darko Ampim memorial polo on April 4

This year’s Nana Awuah Darko Ampem Memorial Polo Championship will be played at the Accra Polo Grounds on Saturday, April 4.

Daniel Awuah Darko, Chairman of Vanguard Group of Companies, who disclosed this in Accra on Monday, said the competition was being played in memory of the late Nana Awuah Darko Ampem, first Ghanaian Captain of the Accra Polo Club.

He said four teams in the Handicap four-six goals are made up of players from the club and professionals. He named the competing teams as Vanguard, IC Securities, City Investments and Connnaught.

Players expected to compete include Damain Duncan, Marcelo Pascal and Ayepa Homuane.

Delancy Petroleum will lock horns with Vanguard Group in a thrilling 10-goal Exhibition match.

The Judith Ellen Awuah Darko (JEAD), Breast Cancer Foundation trophy will be competed for on Sunday, April 5.
