ASANTE Kotoko veteran striker, Nana Frimpong is not moving an inch from the fold of the Porcupine Warriors for the camp of King Faisal, IMC chairman, Mr. Sylvester Asare Owusu has said.

The IMC chairman told Kotoko Express last Monday that the player who has made some valuable contribution to Kotoko since joining the club from King Faisal two years ago had a meeting with the IMC afer which it was agreed to sign him on for an additional one year.

Frimpong has one year of his contract to see through with Kotoko and the IMC 's decision to sign him for another year extends his contract to two years.

The technical handlers of Kotoko, Asare Owusu disclosed have recommended the retention of the player in Kotoko.

This latest development has effectively put to rest all that officials of King Faisal are waffling about his joining them for the up-coming season.

Last Friday, the Soccer Express, categorically stated that Frimpong was sighted training with his then "would-be" colleagues of King Faisal. That story has been denied in no uncertain terms by the player who noted that at the time the paper claimed he trained with Faisal, he was at Sunyani exploring the possibility of pitching camp with BA United.

According to him, the treatment he received under the Herbert Mensah administration is an eye-opener to him and at no point in his life would he wish to be associated again with the former Kotoko Chief Executive.

Frimpong was recruited from King Faisal by the Herbert Mensah administration for a fee of ?20 million, but only ?10 million was paid. He is one player who under that administration bottled so much in him as a result of the failure to fully pay his signed on fee, which was then the order of the day in Kotoko.

Frimpong is one of the many players of the club who signed contracts with he said has taught him a useful lesson.

The IMC chairman said Nana Frimpong who admitted having it tough fitting into the new-look Kotoko squad also confessed having received some money from B.A. United as an enticement fee to join the Sunyani club. But latest developments suggest that he is duty-bound to return the money BA United offered him, a responsibility the IMC chairman promised, he and his colleagues would take care of to allow Nana Frimpong concentrate on giving of his best of Kotoko.
