Nana Yaw Amponsah, an aspirant for the Ghana FA Presidency says he plans to improve the welfare of referees by paying about 50 percent of their allowances before they go out to officiate on match days.
The President of Phar Rangers was speaking on referees as key stakeholders of the game at the Ghana FA Presidential debate
In his address, he indicated that this can be one of the ways to improve officiating in our games as well as curb match fixing.
In the Anas exposee on corruption in Ghana football, about 70 referees were influenced to fix matches which he believes can be solved if referees receive an upfront of their allowances before games.
