Accra, May 18, GNA - Staff of the National Sports Council (NSC) and members of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) will on Saturday, May 22, embark on a Fitness Walk exercise through some principal streets of Accra, the national capital.
The event, which has been initiated by the Council as part of efforts to form a stronger partnership with SWAG will commence at 6:00 am at the Ohene Djan Stadium, Accra through Ridge, Ring Road, Osu Oxford Street and back to the national stadium. According to the NSC, a special friendly football match will be played later at the Ohene Djan Stadium between the staff of the sports governing body and members of SWAG.
A statement signed by William Ezah, General Secretary of SWAG has therefore called on members of the Association to avail themselves for the event, by reporting to the venue at 6:00am. SWAG has for the past years' enjoyed a perfect working relationship with NSC and the Association is keen on maintaining that goal. The statement called on members to contact the secretariat for further details on the event.
