Accra, March 9, GNA - The Netball Association of Ghana (NAG) has invited 13 players for a two-week camping for upcoming national and international tournaments.
The 14-day camping to be held from March 12 to March 26 at the Azumah Nelson Sports Complex, Kaneshi also forms part of preparations for the All Africa Games slated for Mozambique in September. A statement issued by Reverend Emmanuel D. Nikoi, President of NAG said the invited players are Rose Ashong, Victoria Amoah and Eunice Sackey of Fair Point Ladies and the Golden Pods Ladies quartet of Dorothy Bekoe, Abiba Issaka, Ayishetu Osman and Bernice Taylor. The rest are Mavis Martei, Matilda Oforiwaa, Mary Egyir Junior all of New Golden Hands, Veronica Lanuel of the University of Education, Winneba, Salamatu Musa 96 National Sports Council, Nora Kande 96 Presbyterian College of Education, Theodora Agbedor, Akatsi College of Education and Charity Samafo - Amedzope College of Education.
Rev. Nikoi said that his outfit will organize national selection exercises at Ho, Sekondi-Takoradi and Tamale on April 11, April 13 and April 15 respectively. Meanwhile, Reverend Nikoi has called on corporate institutions and individuals to support their hosting of the Africa Cup of Nations Netball Championships in May. v
