New Edubiase pip Liberty on last League match

Obuasi, May 12, GNA - New Edubiase United on Wednesday beat Dansoman based Liberty Professionals by a lone goal to bring down the curtain on this year's Glo Premier League match at the Obuasi Len Clay sports stadium. Seidu Bansi's 10th minute goal was all that Edubiase needed to collect the maximum three points at stake.

Liberty tried all their best in search of the equaliser in the second half but the defence of New Edubiase thwarted all their moves and efforts until the final whistle.

The loss of the home team, Obuasi Ashgold at the hands of Bechem Chelsea at Berekum sent the whole Obuasi township into dead silence with the supporters crest-fallen since the defeat denied the Miners from annexing this year's Premier League trophy.
