Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari is a target for Newcastle United according to widespread reports in England.
The Ghanaian who spent last season on loan at Newcastle's fiercest rival Sunderland has insisted all along he wants to stay and fight for his place at Inter Milan but all the signs point to the fact that he will not be getting much playing time.
And reports in England suggest Newcastle could offer him a route out of his Milan misery.
Muntari was farmed out on loan to Sunderland after putting in a transfer request in January but did not do enough to merit a long term contract at the club.
He arrived at Inter Milan after helping Portsmouth win the FA Cup in 2008 and established himself as a regular but has fallen off since then.
