FROM PORT SAID, Saturday, 29th January,2006

The Black Stars went to training this morning at their usual training grounds, Stade de Rabat here in Port Said at exactly 8.30am Egyptian time.

The technical team comprising head coach Ratomir Djukovic, assistants Canas Jose Ali and Silas Tetteh, team manager Opoku Afriyie and goalkeepers trainer Edward Ansah as well as team doctor Martin Engmann were all present. Also present at training today was Fred Pappoe, the team's management commettee chairman.

Stars skipper Stephen Appiah was absent due to the injury he sustained in the match against The Terenga Lions of Senegal. He had a scan yesturday and is still reccuperating.

Laryea Kingston who has been handed four matches ban, was present but could not train due to a slit unkle injury.

Stars' lead striker Mathew Amoah who missed training yesturday started training today but not with the team. He had a special training with Martin Engmann, who later confineded in me that the striker will be available for the Tuesday's match against The Warriors of Zimbabwe.

Emmanuel Addoquaye Pappoe started training with the team but later complained of abdominal pains and stopped the training.

Samuel Osei Kuffuor is now fully fit and trained fully with his team mates.

All the other players trained well.

For the training itself, they started with slow jogging. They then played half field and the strikers finished it up with some shooting practice.

Meanwhile The Stars will move camp from Port Said to the match venue, Ismaily tomorrow.
