Nigeria are in talks with Morocco and Ghana to play a friendly match during the next open FIFA window in February next year.
Reports in Moroccan newspapers early in the week stated that the Atlas Lions have received an offer from Nigeria, and NFF Chief Media Officer, Ademola Olajire confirmed to media that was indeed the case.
"The NFF President met with his counterpart from Morocco during the CAF Champions League final and they both spoke about the benefits of playing against each other ahead of the World Cup qualifiers in March."
Reports out of Morocco say coach Roger Lemerre is prepared to back out of an earlier arrangement with the Czech Republic in order to accommodate Nigeria, after having been drawn in the same group with Cameroon.
Olajire also disclosed that the NFF were in similar talks with Ghana and Algeria.
"We are also talking to Ghana and Algeria and we hope that something will be tied up soon so that we can make full use of all the FIFA windows available next year."
