"Night of Punches" fixed for Sept. 26

Accra, Sept. 16, GNA - Ghana's James Armah popularly known as "Bukom Fire' will seek to revive his boxing career when he enters into a ten round contest against Brazilian Andre Nascimento at the Ohene Djan Stadium, Accra.

The contest, which comes with five other bouts, tagged the 'Night of Punches', is under the auspices of Goldenmike Boxing Promotions and also has Prosper Ankrah of Ghana taking on Ibrahim Adewale of Nigeria in a 12 round Commonwealth final eliminator.

Lartei Laryea of Ghana will also battle another Brazilian, Sidney Siquiera in a ten round International Super Lightweight while Bilal Mohammed engages John Larbi in an eight round Lightweight local contest. Isaac Selorm and Theophilus Tetteh are also scheduled to contest in an eight round Welterweight bout, whilst former Commonwealth champion Osmanu Adama also takes Moses Adams in a Middleweight contest. Mr Mike Tetteh, the event promoter told the GNA Sports that a detailed programme including gate fees and other promotional arrangements on the event will be rolled out in due course. He, however, noted that his outfit is bent on giving fans their money's worth and called on fanatic boxing fans to fill the stadium to cheer their boxers on to victory.
