Communication Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Ibrahim Sanni Darra has slammed Ex-Sports Minister Nii Lante Vanderpuye who claimed they were attempts by some GFA Officials to bribe him.
According to Nii Lante Vanderpuye, the GFA tried to create dubious alliances with him thus by trying to manipulate his endeavours with some financial gains of which he deems as bribe. But he rejected this financial attempt because he wanted to expose the corrupt practices of the GFA.
A new twist has emerged on Friday morning when Spokesperson of the GFA has dared the Honourable member of Parliament for the Odododiodoi constituent to name any official of the FA who made an attempted to bribe him.
He said: “I dare Nii Lante Vandarpuye to single out one name who wanted to bribe him.Nii Lante Vandarpuye had the opportunity to develop Ghana football but he couldn’t do it so he should give us a break.”
He added: “There’s no need to entertain Nii Lante .A lot of the stuff he says are all lies. Nobody should even give Nii Lante Vandarpuye opportunity to talk because he want to destroy Ghana football and we are not going to give him that chance,” Sanni told Happy FM.
The Ex-Sports Minister has made some fresh allegations which suggest that Ghana used to pay bribe to secure World Cup qualifications as numerous Black Stars players came to him when he was at the helm of affairs to tell him to comply with the paying of money known as “Ways and Means”.
