Mashie would be played at Osu Blogodo in Accra on Saturday, May 8. Nana Nkosua Mingle, Coordinator of the event, who disclosed this in Accra on Wednesday, said the competition was

aimed at honouring Nii Sogblah II, Chief of Haatso who died in 2006, for his immense contribution towards the

development of the sport in the Osu community. He said two companies will sponsor the one-day event which has a magnificent trophy at stake. Nana Mingle said the companies include Ceblack Car Rentals Limited, R.J. and J. Limited in collaboration with the

Osu Traditional Council. Among the players expected to feature for the Osu team would include Anum Garincha, Amoako Dadaba, Ayi Wadi

and Ogidi Joe, while Nii Aryee Adongo, Senior Klokwei, Kwetey George and Dei Emmanuel are among players to be

feature for Ga Mashie. Among the dignitaries expected to grace the occasion are Nii Okwei Kinka Dowuona VI, Osu Mantse, Mr E. T.
