Automobile giants, Nissan has joined a train of sponsors to deliver a splendid Africa Cup of Nations when the continent’s best 16 gather in Equatorial Guinea for the next edition of the tournament.
Nissan’s decision to join the delivery of Africa’s plum competition that spans January 17- 8 February, is aimed at “bringing innovation that excites to the continent’s biggest sporting tournament."
Nissan has fashioned out a programme that will enable top African stars to work in a manner that brings the supporters closer to the game ahead of the tournament.
Nthabiseng Motsepe, Acting Manager, Corporate Communications for Nissan South Africa told GNA Sports that the “AFCON 2015 sponsorship is part of Nissan’s drive to increase its market presence in Africa.
According to her, Nissan, seek to bring fans closer to the game with an exciting series of events during the biannual gathering.
Takashi Hata, Senior Vice President in charge of Nissan’s Africa, Middle East and India said “Innovation that excites is what Nissan stands for.
“Sharing in the joy of the Orange Africa Cup of Nations 2015 with fans will help us to strengthen our brand in Africa, which we regard as a strategic and maturing market, and to increase the excitement about our innovative products".
The deal makes Nissan the official global automobile for the Orange Africa Cup of Nations 2015.
