Former Black Stars player Rahim Ayew has revealed his brother will command not less than 30 million pounds to make a move away from current club Swansea City.
Rahim Ayew is the elder brother of Andre Ayew and Jordan Ayew. Andre was courted by a host of English clubs before settling for the Welsh side.
“When they were going to the Premiership, especially Andre, there was even a point where he was up for only £5 million but no one was really willing to pay that. The likes of Newcastle and Liverpool all pulled back but today if you’re coming for Andre, you’ll have to pay anything not less than £30million,” he told Class Sports’ Hussein Hassan on Thursday 14 April 2016.
Commenting on his younger brother Jordan Ayew, who plays for relegation-bound Aston Villa, also in the English Premier League, the ex-Kotoko midfielder said: “I am so proud of his performance. Everyone has seen what he can do. His dream was to play in the Premier League and now he is there. The experience may not be too good because Villa are being relegated but on an individual scale he has been wonderful.”
Rahim’s next career move will be to take up a player/coach role with Nania FC.
