Accra, Oct 9, GNA - Herbert Mensah, Chief Consultant of Fortia Limited, the new owners of Ashantigold Sporting Club says no major alteration would be made in the Management set-up of the Club. He stated this on Thursday during the announcement of the take over of the Club in Accra confirming that his team will maintain the core of the Club's Management and collaborate to achieve their desired targets. The ostentatious Administrator who is credited with the injection of professionalism into Ghana football said the current Ashgold Management consists of equally competent personnel and maintaining them will be vital to their course. Mr Mensah said the desire to succeed poses a major challenge to his team's quest and encourages all to exercise some level of patience as the journey of conquest begins for the Club and its followers. "My team has shown over the last decade that our approach to football management is entirely different to that of others in the country," Mensah added.

The former Kumasi Asante Kotoko Chairman underlined putting in place a 'bedrock' in place to achieve results in future as his priority. "We want to put the bedrock in place so that when the success comes, it will be that of perpetuity," he said with special reference to ASEC Mimosas of Cote d'Ivoire and Al-Ahly of Egypt. Mr Mensah said special attention will be devoted to the strengthening of the Club's Academy to feed the senior team with the best materials. The charismatic Mensah has had stints with King Faisal, Real Tamale United and Tema Real Sportive since exiting Asante Kotoko in 2002.
