Team Manager of Hearts of Oak Nii Sabahn Quaye, believes that the team will get their desired players and be battle ready for the league, but will not be 100% as they still have a long way to go.

The playing body has also seen some additions and subtractions as well with the likes of Emmanuel Ansong, Stephen Tetteh among others being shown the exit door, whilst others have been roped in.

Though the team is ready to sign more players, Sabahn is of the view that, it will not necessarily mean they will be 100% ready before the league commences in a few weeks time.

“You know when it comes to this Club, everything is starting from the scratch and it will take time before we all become conversant with the terrain, especially the players.”

“We are making steady progress when it comes recruitment though we have lost some targets, but it’s all part of the process and we are looking to build on that to make the team winsome ahead of the new season”, Sabahn mentioned in an interview with sportscrusader.com.

He added that he has little doubt that the team will be ready 100% before the season adding that no team in the world is 100%.

“Which team in the world is 100%, none if you ask me because it is not an individual sport? If you look at the so called powerhouses in Club or national team football, you can identify some loopholes here and there, but their ability to keep winning and getting the result makes them stand out.”

“Many coaches will say we are ready for the league because they think they are. But will only get to know how ready they are once their season commences and they play other good and well organized opponents.”

The Phobians soon after the end of the league dissolved the entire technical team setup and replaced it with new faces. Mohammed Polo was replaced as the head coach by Herbert Addo, whilst Stephen Abugri, Edward Ansah and Sabahn Quaye also joined in the positions of assistant coach, goalkeeper’s trainer and team manager respectively.
